Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews 1:2:3 tells the following story about Seth and his descendants: 

"...they also were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire, and at another time by the violence and quantity of water, they made two pillars, the one of brick, the other of stone: they inscribed their discoveries on them both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind; and also inform them that there was another pillar of brick erected by them. Now this remains in the land of Siriad to this day."

Siriad is an old name for Egypt. This compounded with the riddle in Isaiah 19 about a monument that is at the border of Egypt and in the middle of Egypt, being a witness for God in the last days points to the Great Pyramid. How could an "alter of witness" be big enough to be at the border and the center of a country at the same time? It couldn't. Egypt was divided in to upper and lower Egypt. The great Pyramid is in the exact location between upper and lower Egypt which today is united in to one Egypt. So it is at the border and the middle of the country. This could only happen in Egypt. The natives that live in the area of the Great Pyramid call it Enoch's Pillar. Salt deposits were found in the queens chamber, proving the pyramid itself has been under salt water, which makes it a pre-flood monument.

The Theory
The theory is that the information is in math instead of a writing. a chronological calendar prophetically marking specific dates in history. The descending passage is very long. So if one stood at the bottom and looked out they would see a very narrow portion of the night sky. Only in one year would someone be able to see the pole star from that location. In the year 2170 BC the pole star was Alpha Draconis (today the pole star is Polaris)

If we take the date of 2170 BC as our starting date and the scorched lines marked on the descending passage as out starting point and continue at a rate of one inch to a year we arrive at the following dates:

1453 BC (possibly the Exodus from Egypt) and continuing down it levels off at 1521 AD (the year given for the protestant reformation under Martin Luther). Going up from the descending passage into the ascending passage we arrive at the grand gallery at 33 AD (possibly the death of Christ) and the grand gallery ends at 1914 (the year given for the Balfour declaration giving the land of Israel back to the Jews for a home land, which might be the end of the times of the gentiles control over the holy land)

Dating the Pyramid
Based on ancient Jewish historical records Noah's flood is dated approximately 2250 BC.

If 2170 BC marks the main date the builders of the pyramid  wanted us to look at, then that places some major event at 80 years after the flood. It seems unlikely that only 80 years after the flood there would be enough manpower to build the great pyramid, even if all the pre-flood architectural knowledge were retained.

According to the Bible, the impeding flood was predicted by Noah 120 years before it happened. So it is possible that in marking 2170 BC, the pyramid is testifying to the date of Noah's flood.

Use by Cultic groups:
Many groups try to use the pyramid as a way to predict the beginning of their order and or the end of the world. These groups have included the Jehovah's Witnesses (under Russell), Millerites, 2nd Adventists, Herbert W. Armstrong, the Bahahi, and many others. Christians must not immediately conclude that since cults use this it that no part of the teaching is right. Everything must be examined on its own merits.
