History
Hinduism is the religion of India. According the ancient Hebrew History, the
books of Genesis and Jasher, the Flood of Noah occurred about 2250 BC. Nimrod
created the first empire in the area of Iraq about 2000 and his empire lasted 45
years. He changed the religion from the worship of one true personal God into
pantheism and polytheism. He set each of the 12 signs of the Zodiac to be
worshiped monthly. The Vedic race is the earliest group to settle in the Indus
valley. Not much is known about them since their writings and never been
deciphered. This shows that the language is not Semitic in nature and therefore
not the original language. So these writings have to be dated after the fall of
the tower of babble in 1950 BC. The Vedic race was conquered and replaced by the
Arians, from which we get a more current form of Hinduism.
Josephus states the sons of Joctan, son of Eber, namely Elmodad, Saleph, Asermoth, Jera, Adoram, Aizel, Decla, Ebal, Abimael, Sabeus, Ophir, Euilat, and Jobab inhabited the land up to the Cophen river in India. This is not far from the Indus valley where the Vedic race is said to have started.
Hinduisms Basic Beliefs
Reincarnation is the belief that when a person dies he will then be reborn in
the body of another human or lower form of life.
Karma is the belief that if we
were evil in this life we can be reborn into a lower form of life and if very
good we may be born into a higher form of life (if there is any). This is also
called transmigration of souls. (the caste system)
Pantheism is the belief that God is a force that
is in everything (people animals, plants, rocks ect.) This is the opposite of
the Christian God, who is personal and completely separate from his creation. Because of the belief in pantheism the Hindu religion has
330 million Gods and Godesses. Each is supposed to represent and different part of God.
Brahman is the impersonal God
Atman is the essence of that impersonal God, that is in each human being.
The principle books the religion uses are called the Vedas. Much earlier in its history the Upanishads were used. These much older religious texts teach one God only and a system of animal sacrifice to his that is similar to the ancient patriarchs of the bible. So we can see a clear digression from a patriarchal religion (beliefs based on the teachings of Noah and his sons) of one god separate from creation into a religion that is pantheistic or corrupt.
