6. Because of this, pride has adorned them, a crown that they place ontheir heads because of their rapacity.
7. Their faces are distorted by fat;
8. They will decay because of fatness;

11. Andthey will say, ÒHow then does God know, and is there knowledge in the MostHigh?Ó
12. Behold,these are the wicked who dwell securelyin this age; they have acquired property

14. AndI have been smitten all the day; and my admonition [has come] with every dawn.

2. Remember your congregation that you acquired of old; you redeemed fromEgypt the tribes of your inheritance, thissame Mount Zion on which you madeyour presence to abide.
3. Lift up your footsteps to dissolve the nations
4. Your oppressors cry out in the midst of your assemblies; they have setup their standards as signs.

11. Whywill you withdraw your hand, even your right hand, from redeeming

4. We have become a disgrace to our neighbors, a subject of scorn andmockery to our surroundings.
5. How long, O Lord, will yoube fierce Ð forever? [How long] will your zeal burn like fire?
6. Pour out your wrath on the Gentiles who have not known you, and on thekingdoms who have not prayed in yourname.
7. For they have destroyed thehouse of Jacob, and made desolate his sanctuary
8. Do not remember against us trespasses which were from the beginning; inhaste, may your favors go before us, for we have become very destitute.
